A renown letter written by Gasparo Coelho and dated February 13, 1582. Coelho was part of the Jesuit mission in Japan, based in Nagasaki. Streit describes another edition printed by the same publisher in the same year, but with the following title: Lettera annale portata di novo dal Giappone. In addition, the work was also published in the same year in Rome (Francesco Zannetti) and Milan (Pacifico Pontio). A French edition, translated by Michel Coyssard, was published in Paris in 1586 and a German translation in Dilingen in 1586. Streit IV: 1637.
