Version en trois dimensions d'une note contenue dans la Boîte verte, le pliage peut être manipulé de manière à tenir debout. Il vient illustrer l'Inventeur du temps gratuit, un portrait imaginaire de Duchamp par son ami Robert Lebel. Le personnage principal de La Double vue, un new-yorkais nommé A. Loride, partage également la fascination des deux artistes pour la maîtrise du temps.
