All the published work of this democratic, anticlerical and unitary satirical newspaper published in Genoa by Luigi Priario, Giacomo Borgonovo and Nicolò Dagnino, former editor of numerous Mazzinian works. The work is famous above all for the caricatures that accompany each release, often by Luigi Cagnola, which cost the publishers numerous legal problems and in one case the arrest of Dagnino when, on March 28, 1849, Thursday of Holy Week, the newspaper published "L'Italia crucifissa" defined as an "iniquitous and obscene parody" of the Passion of Christ.
