Goldener Anhänger in Kreuzform mit Emaileinlagen, Schwarzmeerraum unter byzantinischem Einfluss, 12. Jhdt.
Hohl gearbeitetes Kreuz aus Goldblech mit abgerundeten Kreuzarmenden und winkligen Fortsätzen in den Winkeln zwischen den Armen. Im Zentrum ein quadratisches Feld, in den Armen zungenförmige Felder mit Zellen aus mehrfarbigen Emaille-Einlagen. Die unterschiedlichen Farben durch Zellwände aus Gold getrennt. Oben ein Backenscharnier, konstruiert aus zwei von hinten her und auf der Kante verlöteten Drähten. Darin eine bewegliche Öse gelagert, mit der das Kreuz aufgehängt worden ist. Unten eine einfache Öse angelötet, zur Fixierung eines Anhängers. Risse auf den Kanten der Oberseite mit den Emaille-Zellen. Oberfläche mit leichten Druckspuren. Kleine Fehlstellen im Emaille der äußeren Bereiche der Emaille-Zellen. Sonst intakt. Höhe 3,5 cm. Breite 2,4 cm. Diffizil gearbeitete Goldschmiedearbeit aus dem hochmittelalterlichen byzantinischen Kulturkreis.
Die Ergebnisse einer Röntgenfluoreszenzanalyse der Legierung stehen nicht im Widerspruch zu einer antiken Herstellung und entsprechen den Werten verbürgter Originale.
