The impressions generally are a little inferior to those of the second edition but are better than those of the third" (Tomás Harris). Die Serie wurde von Goya bereits 1810-20 angefertigt, die erste Ausgabe erschien allerdings erst 1863 in nur 500 Exemplaren. Die eindrucksvolle Suite gilt in ihrer apokalyptischen Darstellungsweise als die vollendetste Leistung Goyas auf dem Gebiet der Radierung. - Vierte Ausgabe, die in einer ╔Auflage von 275 Exemplaren╗ erschien. Auf festem Bütten ohne Wasserzeichen, mit allen Merkmalen der vierten Ausgabe, ╔jedoch ohne Einband.╗ Die Tafeln wurden vorsichtig aus der Bindung gelöst und unter dünnem Passepartout gerahmt. - 4th edition. Complete set of images on strong laid paper without watermark. A great picture story was created under the impression of the guerrilla war against Napoleon in Spain. Series of 80 original aquatint etchings, mounted under passe-partout, in 2 cloth cases. 25.5 x 34,5 cm. - ╔Without title page, introduction and binding.╗ - Very occasionally foxing, all with small glue margin on the left side (due to the original binding). Otherwise nice clean leaves, all of which are mounted under passe-partout in two places on the verso of the upper edge.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
