Das hier vorliegende Gemälde ist im Archivio Federico Zeri der Universität Bologna unter der Nr. 37694 als Werk von Leonardo Grazia mit Abbildung erfasst. Als Provenienz wird dort angegeben: Collezione P. Foresti, Carpi; Vendita Foresti 12-17 Maggio 1913, N. 209; Asta Galleria Pesaro, Milano.
Vermutlich handelt es sich hier um eine der drei Versionen des Motivs, die Grazia um 1527/1530 geschaffen hat, von denen sich eine in der Galleria Borghese in Rom befindet (Inv.-Nr. 370) und die von der Forschung auch schon der Raffael-Schule zugeordnet wurden (Vgl. Michela Corso, Le Opere e i Giorni di Leonardo Grazia da Pistoia tra Lucca, Roma e Napoli, in: Proporzioni, Nuova Serie 13/14 (2012/2013), S. 49 und Abb. 4 sowie Fernanda Capobianco in: Saur, Allgemeines Künstler-Lexikon, München/Leipzig 2009, Bd. 61, s.v. Grazia S. 106.). Leonardo Grazia wurde 1503 in Pistoia geboren, die erste künstlerische Ausbildung erhielt er in der Werkstatt seines Vaters Matteo di Nardo. Aus Dokumenten geht hervor, dass er 1530 in Lucca war, in den frühen 1530er Jahren ließ er sich in Rom nieder. Der Künstler, der den Einfluss von Raffael, Giulio Romano und Jacopino del Conte zu verbinden wusste ist zuletzt in Neapel urkundlich erwähnt, wo er eine eigene Werkstatt unterhielt und offenbar bis zu seinem Lebensende um 1548 ansässig war.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
