Porcelain, white. Dog in a sitting posture, a wide, ornament embellished neck band with Eyelet-supporting
. Height 44cm.
Brand sword strokes with four Grinding, embossed characters for white goods, 129, Bossierernr. 119, year mark for 1960. Condition A.

The model for the Bolognese dog, supposed to have been the favorite animal of August III., is mentioned for the first time in February 1735. There it is recorded in a list of completed figures of animals for the Japanese Palace. The plastic features, such as numerous animal figures Kaendlers, due to their strong naturalistic expression. The wavy, moving strands of hair, the large, curious eyes and especially the open mouth, with carefully worked out Details such as the tongue, palate and teeth and let the dog appear realistic and almost alive
