Das Modell zum Bologneser Hund, der das Lieblingstier August III. gewesen sein soll, wird erstmals im Februar 1735 erwähnt. Dort ist es in einer Liste der fertig gestellten Tierfiguren für das Japanische Palais erfasst. Die Plastik zeichnet sich, wie zahlreiche Tierfiguren Kaendlers, durch ihren starken naturalistischen Ausdruck aus. Die welligen, bewegten Strähnen des Fells, die großen, neugierigen Augen und besonders das geöffnete Maul mit sorgfältig herausgearbeiteten Details wie Zunge, Gaumen und Zähnen und lassen den Hund lebensnah und geradezu lebendig erscheinen

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
