This lot contains well over 400 postcards of the German nobility, mostly princes, kings and their families of the various German States, such as Prussia, Bavaria, Saxonia and Wurttemberg, but also contains Austrian, Greek and British rulers. Both albums pretty worn, the covers bumped and damaged on the edges, the back of one album missing, torn on the other. The pages browned, sun damage to the green colour, the card holders frequently torn and/or fixed with adhesive tape. The postcards in good condition, with a few actually mailed with contemporary stamps and handwriting. An interesting lot!
