Around 1905. Bronze, black patinated. H. 52 cm. Sign. H. Liebmann. Standing goddess of the hunt with quiver and bow. - The two monumental figures from 1913 in Chemnitz and Berlin were melted down for armaments purposes in 1942 - Expertise: Handwritten certificate from 7.2.92 by Liane Liebmann, the artist's daughter - Studied at the Dresden Academy under Julius Schilling and won the Grand Saxon State Prize in 1899. After study trips to Rome and Paris, he also worked briefly for the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory and KPM Berlin and settled in Bad Homburg in 1914. He exhibited his work several times at the German and Intern. Art Exhibition in Dresden and the Great German Art Exhibition in Berlin Lit.: Thieme/Becker
