Sechsfach gezogener Achtkantlauf im Kaliber 12 mm mit eingeschobener, eiserner Visierung. Auf der Laufoberseite gravierte Signatur "Louis Adami in Berlin". An der Kammer verriegelte, herausziehbare und nach oben klappbare Kartusche mit seitlichem Kugelgriff. Aufwendig rankenförmig graviertes Perkussionsschloss mit wiederholter Signatur. Rückstecher. Leicht beschnitzter Nussholzhalbschaft mit kanneliertem Kolben und en suite zum Schloss gravierter Eisengarnitur. Schaft im Schlossbereich mit Schwundriss, auf der rechten Kolbenseite zwei Schlagspuren. Seltenes Hinterladersystem. Länge 45 cm.

A breechloader percussion pistol, Louis Adami, Berlin, circa 1850
Six-groove rifled, octagonal barrel in 12 mm calibre with dovetailed iron sights. The signature "Louis Adami in Berlin" engraved on the top of the barrel. A locked, removable cartridge folding upwards at the breech, with a ball handle on the side. The percussion lock elaborately engraved with scrolling leaves and a repeated signature. Single set trigger. The slightly carved walnut half stock with a fluted butt, the iron furniture engraved en suite to the lock. A shrinkage crack on the stock near the lock, two impact marks on the right side of the butt. Rare breech-loading system. Length 45 cm.
