Silber, vergoldet. Über drei geschwungenen Volutenbeinen rundes Rechaudgestell mit herausnehmbarem Brenner. Teekanne mit umgekehrt birnförmigem Korpus, scharnierter, aufgewölbter Deckel mit Knauf in Form eines plastisch ausgearbeiteten Arrangements aus drei Blumen. Mittig ansetzender Rohrausguss, endend im Kopf eines Fabeltiers. Übergreifender von zwei in Porträtbüsten endenden Rocaillen gehaltener Henkel. Kessel und Rechaud üppig reliefiert mit Blüten, Blättern und Rocaillen, in vier Kartuschen auf der Wandung figurale Chinoiserien, in einer weiteren schauseitig eine Inschrift in kyrillischen Buchstaben (übersetzt: "Gegeben von Herrn Ostermann am Tag der Taufe von Julia Galitzina am 18ten Tag 1774."). Minim rest.; Deckel erg.; Gest., Beschaumarken, Herstellerzeichen und Jahresbuchstabe "B". Gew. zus. ca. 1870 g. H. 40 cm. 30 cm x 20 cm.
Graf Iwan Andrejewitsch Ostermann (1725 - 1811) war ein bedeutender russischer Staatsmann. Als Sohn des Grafen Andrej Iwanowitsch Ostermann, der 1742 bei der russischen Kaiserin Elisabeth in Ungnade fiel, begann er seine diplomatische Karriere erst nach dessen Tod und als Gesandter in Paris und Stockholm, ehe er unter Herrschaft von Kaiserin Katharina 1775 zum Reichsvizekanzler berufen wurde. Weitere Titel und Ehren folgten. 1797 trat Ostermann zurück und verbrachte seine letzten Jahre in Moskau. Mit der Fürstenfamilie Galitzin war Ostermann über die Frau seines Großneffen und späteren Erben Graf Alexander Ostermann-Tolstoi verwandt.
A fine early Georg III gilt silver tea kettle-on-stand on a spirit warmer. Minor restored. Lid replaced. Assay and maker´s marks, date letter "B".

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
