Silber, Elfenbein. Quadratisch in Form von Blattwerk durchbrochen gearbeiteter Stand. Vollplastische Figur eines Ritters. Detailliert gearbeiteter und prunkvoll verzierter Harnisch und zwei Schwerter. Das Gesicht ist in Elfenbein ausgeführt. Fuß punziert mit Hanauer Fantasiemarken. Guter Zustand. Gegenstand in der rechten Hand verloren. Maße 24 x 9 x 8 cm, Gesamtgewicht 564 g. Maximilian I. plante sein eigenes Grab mit 40 Bronzestandbildern seiner (tatsächlichen und ersehnten) Ahnen, Vorgänger und Vorbilder wie König Artus und Dietrich von Bern. Sein Enkel Ferdinand I. begann das Vorhaben, und so waren zum Tod Maximilians elf der Figuren fertiggestellt. Heute stehen 28 überlebensgroße Standbilder in der Innsbrucker Hofkirche. Aktuelle CITES-Dokumente vorhanden.

Silver, ivory. Square stand decorated with openwork foliage. Figure of a knight. His suit of armour and two swords elaborately crafted and decorated. Carved ivory face. Foot stamped with Hanau fantasy marks. In good condition. Originally the figure probably held something in his right hand. Dimensions 24 x 9 x 8 cm, overall weight
564 g. Maximilian I planned his own tomb with 40 bronze statues of his (real and imagined) ancestors, predecessors, and role models such as King Arthur and Dietrich von Bern. His grandson Ferdinand I began the project, and eleven figures were completed by the time of Maximilian's death. There are 28 larger-than-life statues in the Innsbruck Hofkirche today. With CITES papers.
