Technique: Porcelain, einriched in colours, golden.
Description: A child figure dressed as a sultana on a grass-covered plinth. She is wearing puffy
bloomers that merge into white stockings and pointed shoes with large buckles on her feet.
She wears a knee-length, fringed outer dress, a drapery as a belt and a lavish cloak
gathered at the hips and shoulders. Her hair is pinned up and adorned with colourful
ostrich feathers. She holds a dark mask in her right hand raised in front of her body and
a golden fan in her left hand.
Measurement: Height 18cm.
Mark: Manufacture mark, painted blue under glaze.
The child figure of the sultana is complemented by the counterpart of the sultan. As a pair, they enjoy great popularity.
