Imposante, mehrteilige Meissen Figurengruppe "Neptun und Thetis" aus der "Großen russischen Bestellung" für Zarin Katharina II.
4-tlg.; Teilw. montiert. Geschweifter, in der Front ausgearbeiteter Sockel mit reliefierten Ornamentbordüren, darauf schauseitig konzipierte Gruppe. Inmitten aufgewühlter Meereswogen, in einem, von zwei sich aufbäumenden Hippokampen gezogenem Muschelwagen stehender, graubärtiger Gott Neptun in majestätischer Haltung als Herrscher über die Meere. In der rechten Hand einen großen Dreizack, in der Linken einen Lorbeerkranz haltend. Hinter ihm erscheinende Meeresnymphe Thetis. Nach unten blickend zu der, von einem Delphin getragenen Meeresgöttin Amphitrite. Flankierend zwei Tritonen und eine Meeresnymphe. Polychrome Malerei mit Goldstaffage. Entw. Johann Joachim Kaendler, 1773. Modell-Nr. 1. Dreizack erg.; Teilw. minim. best.; Rest.; Schwertermarken. H. 42 cm. L. 61 cm.
Als Pendant gestaltete Kaendler die Gruppe "Triumph der Amphitrite". Der Auftrag für Katharina II. von Russland beinhaltete zahlreiche, verschiedene allegorische und mythologische Porzellanfiguren und -gruppen, mit denen Katharina die Große das Kabinett im Pavillon an den Rodelbergen im Park Schloss Oranienbaum im heutigen Lomonossow ausstatten ließ.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
