Inscribed on the reverse: "Ansicht des churfürstlichen Schloß Dachau gegen München zu samt dem Ammer Fluß" Identity of Dachau confirmed by comparison with Wening, Michael: "Historico-Topographica Descriptio", Das ist: Beschreibung, deß Churfürsten- und Hertzogthums Ober- und Nidern Bayrn. Volume 1, M 70 a.
Schloss Dachau entwickelte sich aus einer mittelalterlichen Burg der Grafen zu Dachau und wurde im 16. Jahrhundert zum bevorzugten Landsitz des Münchner Hofes. Ab 1546 entstand unter Herzog Wilhelm IV. und Herzog Albrecht V. ein vierflügeliger Schlosskomplex mit einem prächtigen Festsaal. Kurfürst Max Emanuel ließ den Saaltrakt und das prunkvolle Treppenhaus von 1715 bis 1717 durch den Architekten Joseph Effner im Barockstil umgestalten. Im 19. Jahrhundert wurde ein Großteil der Anlage abgerissen, erhalten blieb nur der barockisierte Saaltrakt. Der Schlossgarten mit alten Mauern, einem Lindenlaubengang und Obstgarten spiegelt verschiedene Epochen der Gartenkunst wider und besticht durch seine Lage auf einem Höhenrücken.
Die Zuschreibung an den Münchner Kunsthandwerker Franz Riemb (Rientz, Kientz) basiert auf dem Vergleich mit einem Paar Intarsienbildern mit Ansichten von Schloss Nymphenburg, die in der Sotheby's Auktion Aus deutschen Schlössern. Hausauktion im Schloss Monrepos, 9.-14.10.2000, als lot 68 angeboten wurden und von denen eines rückseitig signiert ist.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
