Exemplaire sur Chine, imprimé pour Jules Janin et relié à son chiffre par Lardière. Relieur parisien de l’époque romantique, Lardière fut médaillé lors de plusieurs expositions. Le rapport de celle de 1849 ne tarit pas d’éloges sur ses créations, remarquant que « tout ce qui sort de ses ateliers est d’une excellente exécution et réunit l’élégance et la solidité ».
In-8 (225 x 127 mm). Exemplaire sur Chine, peut-être unique. Reliure de l’époque de Lardière (signée en pied du dos) en chagrin ébène, chiffre de Jules Janin au centre du plat supérieur, dos à nerfs et caissons ornés, doublure et garde de moire blanche, tranches dorées.
Provenance : Jules Janin (vraisemblablement imprimé pour, reliure à son chiffre, ex-libris) – ex-libris James Hartmann (catalogue de sa vente, 1887 ?)
Deluxe copy, printed on China paper. It might be the only one printed on this paper. It was destined for and bound with the monogram of Jules Janin, who wrote the preface for this edition.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
