Obwohl seine Familie keine Verbindung zur Kunst hatte, prägten ihn die Reisen seines Vaters, einem Offizier der Handelsmarine, insbesondere ein Aufenthalt in Sevilla 1928. 1934 heiratete er Maria Henriqueta Correia de Miranda, die Tochter des Schriftstellers Carlos Amaro, und lebte bei seinen Schwiegereltern, wo er eine kulturelle Bereicherung durch gesellige Zusammenkünfte und Dichterlesungen erlebte. Nach dem Abschluss seines Agrarwissenschaftsstudiums im Jahr 1939 arbeitete er als Agraringenieur in Lissabon und schloss 1943 sein Studium der Forstwirtschaftstechnik ab. Nach einer Reise nach Italien und Frankreich kehrte er 1949 nach Lissabon zurück und begann seine künstlerische Karriere, indem er 1951 erstmals in der SNBA ausstellte, wo er viele Jahre lang regelmäßig präsent war.

Although his family had no connection with art, he was influenced by the travels of his father, an officer in the merchant navy, especially a stay in Seville in 1928. In 1934 he married Maria Henriqueta Correia de Miranda, the daughter of the writer Carlos Amaro, and lived with his in-laws, where he experienced cultural enrichment through social gatherings and poetry readings. After graduating in agricultural science in 1939, he worked as an agricultural engineer in Lisbon and graduated in forestry engineering in 1943. After travelling to Italy and France, he returned to Lisbon in 1949 and began his artistic career by exhibiting for the first time at the SNBA in 1951, where he was a regular presence for many years.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
