Bronze mit grüner Edelpatina, der Adler mit ausgebreiteten Flügeln, ähnlich dem Heeresadler, beidseitig halbplastische Darstellung, rs. unterhalb des Hakenkreuzes sign. "J. Pabst". Auf verschraubtem, dunkel marmoriertem Marmorsockel. Gesamthöhe ca. 29 cm.
Josef Pabst (1879 - 1950), 1896 Schüler der Bildhauerei an der Königlichen Kreis-Baugewerkschule Kaiserslautern, danach Studien in Karlsruhe, München, Berlin und Paris, ab 1909 in Köln und überwiegend im Rheinland tätig. Mitglied der Koblenzer Künstlergemeinschaft „Das Boot“. Pabst war u.a. an der Ausgestaltung des Reichsluftfahrtministeriums und der NS-Ordensburg Vogelsang beteiligt.

Cast bronze finish with green patina, widespread wings and claws firmly clutching the wreath that surrounds the mobile swastika reverse with artist name “J. Pabst.”. Black and white marble base (damaged). Scarcer then “Nuremberg" style eagles. Size ca. 24 x 29 cm (h x w).
Josef Pabst (1879, Koblenz - 1950, Adenau) was a German sculptor. From 1896 Pabst first learned sculpture at the Royal District Building Trade School in Kaiserslautern. After further studies in Karlsruhe, Munich, Berlin and Paris he lived in Cologne. As a member of the Koblenz artist group “Das Boot” he was involved in their exhibition in November 1924. Josef Pabst belonged like Otto D. Douglas-Hill and Werner Peiner to the artists who were valued by the architect Ernst Sagebiel and who were involved in the design of the Reich Aviation Ministry. His works also include inlay work that was exhibited at the NS-Ordensburg Vogelsang and, like others, has been preserved in the building at Landsbergstrasse 16 in Cologne.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
