Achtfach gezogener Achtkantlauf im Kaliber 12,5 mm mit eingeschobenem Silberkorn, zweifacher Klappkimme und goldgefüttertem Zündloch. Die Laufoberseite bis zur Mündung figürlich und ornamental mit reliefiertem und graviertem Silber über mattiertem Grund eingelegt. Eisernes, en suite zum Lauf in Silber überreich eingelegtes Radschloss mit halb innenliegendem Rad. Abzug mit (gekürztem, defektem) Nadelstecher. Vollflächig mit halbplastischen Tieren und Ranken beschnitzter sowie mit graviertem Perlmutteinlagen verzierter, ebonisierter Holzvollschaft mit gravierten Eichhörnchen an der Beinnase. Auf der Wange in Perlmutt eingelegter Doppeladler, flankiert von zwei Einhörnern. Gravierter Abzugsbügel aus Eisen. Späterer Holzladestock mit Beinnase, unter der Wange kleine Perlmutt-Fehlstelle, Halterung vom Schuber fehlt.
Extrem aufwändig verarbeitete Prunkbüchse in höfischer Qualität. Länge 110,5 cm. Zum Meister der Tierkopfranke siehe Hayward, J.F., Die Kunst der Büchsenmacher, Band 1, S. 137f. Eine nahezu identische Radschlossbüchse, ehemals im Besitz der Fürstbischöfe von Eichstätt, wurde 2018 vom Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York angekauft (Sammlungsnummer 2018.103).

Octagonal barrel with eight-groove rifled bore in 12.5 mm calibre, dovetailed silver front sight, double folding rear sight and gold-lined vent hole. The upper side of the barrel decorated with figures and ornaments inlaid in three-dimensional, engraved silver on a matt ground extending to the muzzle. Iron wheellock with semi-internal wheel set en suite to the barrel and lavishly inlaid in silver. Double set trigger with shortened, defective hair trigger. All surfaces of the ebonised wood full stock carved with animals and tendrils in half relief and embellished with engraved mother-of-pearl inlays, a squirrel engraved on the bone nose. A double-headed eagle inlaid in mother-of-pearl, flanked by two unicorns, on the cheek piece. Engraved iron trigger guard. Later wooden ramrod with bone tip, a small flaw in the mother of pearl underneath the cheek. Patch box holders are missing.
An extremely elaborated crafted deluxe rifle of courtly quality. Length 110.5 cm. Re. the Master of the Animal-Head Scroll, see J. F. Hayward, "The Art of the Gunmaker", vol. 1, p. 137/138. An almost identical wheellock rifle, formerly owned by the prince bishops of Eichstaett, was acquired by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in 2018 (Accession Number 2018.103).

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
