Kreidezeichnung, 11,5 x 6,5 cm, verso Darstellung zweier stehender Kinder, darauf Nachlaßstempel, unter Passepartout u. Glas gerahmt, ungeöffnet. - Wir danken Detlev Rosenbach, Hannover, für die freundliche Bestätigung der Authentizität. - Provenienz: Galerie Pels-Leusden, 1987; Privatsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen; Hamburger Privatsammlung. - Zeichner, Graphiker, Maler und Fotograf, der mit seinen Schilderungen der kleinbürgerlichen Lebenswelt Berlins bekannt wurde. Z. machte eine Ausbildung als Lithograph und nahm parallel Unterricht bei Th. Hosemann an der Königl. Kunstschule in Berlin. Um die Jahrhundertwende begann er seinen typischen Stil zu entwickeln. 1903 wurde er auf Betreiben Liebermanns in die Secession aufgenommen. Durch seine Arbeiten für den 'Simplicissimus' wurde er deutschlandweit bekannt. 1924 wurde er, wiederum durch Vermittlung Liebermanns, Professor der Berliner Akademie. Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
