Silber, vergoldet (berieben), beidseitig reliefiert, fein nachziseliert und kantenpoliert, das Monogramm "FWR" im lorbeerumkränzten Medaillon, von Königskrone überhöht und von zwei "wilden Männern" als Schildhalter getragen. Darunter, nach Baluster, der achtkantige Schaft mit Bart. An neuer angenähter Schleife aus hellblauem Seidenrips, auf dekorativer schwarzer Samtunterlage. Trage- und Altersspuren. Länge des Schlüssels 14,2 cm, Gewicht (mit Schleife) 90 g.
Seltene silbervergoldete Ausführung dieses rückgabepflichtigen Schlüssels, der bis 1918 verliehen wurde.

A royal Prussian chamberlain's key, reign of Wilhelm II, 1888 – 1918
Silver, gilt (rubbed), both sides decorated in relief, delicately re-chiselled and with polished edges, the monogram "FWR" in a medallion surrounded by a laurel wreath, surmounted by a royal crown and supported by two "wild men" as shield bearers. Underneath it, below a baluster, the octagonal shank with bit. Stitched onto a new bow of light-blue ribbed silk on a decorative black velvet underlay. Traces of wear and age. Length of key 14.2 cm, weight (with bow) 90 g.
Rare silver-gilt version of this returnable key that was awarded until 1918.
