The centrepiece 'Doe Geburt der Schönheit' was created based on the design by Paul Scheurich from 1939. A total of 15 objects are listed in the production books, the whereabouts of which were unknown for a long time. The theme of the centrepiece reflects Scheurich's interpretation of the "Venus Anadyomene", as he took it from Hesiod's Theogony. In it, the goddess Venus is born from the foam of the sea and is honoured by the Tritons and Nereids with gifts of pearls and treasures of the sea.
