Ravissant maroquin citron de l’époque, avec décor àla grotesque. Il s’agit d’un recueil de cent contes badins en prose composés en 1456 à la cour de Philippe le Bon, duc de Bourgogne, sous les yeux du Dauphin, futur Louis XI. On lui attribua ainsi longtemps cet ouvrage qui est en réalité probablement de la main d'Antoine de La Sale.
Reconnu pour ses talents d'aquafortiste, Romeyn de Hooghe inventa à la fin de sa carrière une manière qui, par sa forme, permit de le considérer comme un modèle immédiat des premiers illustrateurs français du XVIIIe siècle. Il réduisit ses figures à un tiers de la page environ et les plaça en tête. Selon ce principe, il donna une illustration en 1685 pour les Contes de La Fontaine, en 1687 pour les Contes et nouvelles de Boccace, et en 1700, pour les Cent nouvelles nouvelles. J. 2 vol. in-12 (152 x 96 mm). 1 frontispice, une vignette, un cul-de-lampe et 100 gravures dans le texte, l’ensemble gravé en taille-douce par Romeyn de Hooghe (piqûres et rousseurs éparses, légers reports des gravures ; t. I cahier S très roussi, taches brunes en marge supérieure du feuillet O8v, feuillet Q3 un peu court de marge extérieure ; t. II : petit manque à l’angle inférieur droit du feuillet **2, quelques taches brunes en marge extérieure du cahier *). Reliures de l’époque en maroquin citron, triple filet doré en encadrement sur les plats, dos ornés à la grotesque, pièces de titre et tomaison en maroquin vert, coupes ornées, gardes de papier peigné, tranches dorées (dos légèrement passés, minimes accrocs aux plats). First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
