Exemplaire de dédicace, en maroquin rouge de l’époque frappé du nom de la dédicataire, Anne Geneviève de Bourbon-Condé, duchesse de Longueville, dite "Madame de Longueville" (1619-1679).
Quentin-Bauchart, II, pp. 396-397 : « l’esprit et la beauté de la duchesse de Longueville, la grande influence qu’elle exerça sur la société du XVIIe siècle ont marqué sa place dans cette galerie de femmes célèbres, bien que les livres qui passent pour lui avoir appartenu soient le plus souvent aux armes de son mari ».
In-4 (247 x 165 mm). Fréquentes piqûres et brunissures, cahiers Kk, Ll et Ss très brunis. Reliure de l’époque : maroquin rouge, plats ornés d’un semis des lettres du nom ANNE DE BOURBON, en alternance avec des fleurs de lys, double filet doré en encadrement, dos à nerfs avec caissons ornés d’un décor similaire aux plats, tranches dorées sur marbrure (mors refaits).
Provenance : sur le titre, note manuscrite du XVIIe siècle : « ce martirologe appartenoit à feüe Madame La Duchesse de Longueville -- jointe à l’exemplaire, une note manuscrite sur feuillet à en-tête du libraire et relieur Léon Gruel, avec des mentions biographiques sur Anne de Bourbon qu’il reprend de Quentin-Bauchart, et qui indique « très précieuse reliure, semis de fleurs de lys et Anne de Bourbon. Exemplaire de dédicace 1642…Nous ne connaissons aucune reliure à ses armes » -- Alexis de Redé (ex-libris).

Auctions are performed by auction houses and each of the auction houses describes their terms of auction. You can see the texts in the section "Auction information".
The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
