Rs. in schwarzer Pinselschrift bezeichnet "Landgraf Wilhelm v. Hessen Phil: B: Holländ. General D: Cavall: Gouver. Der Festungen Ypern, Vennlo, Bergen ob Zoom, Dornik, u: Breda.". In schwerem vergoldeten Profilrahmen (etwas bestoßen), Malfläche krakeliert, partiell leicht beschädigt, Altersspuren. Bildmaße 63 x 53 cm, Rahmenmaße 77 x 67 cm.

Oil on canvas, unsigned. Finely painted Baroque bust portrait of the landgrave with white allonge wig, armour and commander's staff. Inscribed on the reverse in black brush "Landgraf Wilhelm v. Hessen. Phil: B: Holländ. General D: Cavall: Gouver. Der Festungen Ypres, Vennlo, Bergen ob Zoom, Dornik, u: Breda.". In heavy gilt profile frame (slightly bumped), painting brittle, partially slightly damaged, signs of age. Dimensions of the painting 63 x 53 cm, framed 77 x 67 cm.
