Fascinating copy in contemporary mottled calf, with the topographical plan of the city of Milan, of this first edition, a fundamental repertoire for the history of Milan, its buildings and monuments.

5 volumes, 8vo (175 x 114mm). Half-titles to first and fourth volume (as called for in SBN), engraved frontispiece, woodcut device on title, large folding topographical plan, 43 (of 45 or 46 like other copies examined) engraved folding plates by Sellier (without instructions to the binder in vol. I, occasional light spotting, slightly more visible in final vol.) Contemporary mottled calf, gilt spines, red edges (light rubbing); preserved in modern marbled paper slipcases. (5)
