The Henri Beraldi set of these two important works from the golden age of art posters, in full morocco cuir-ciselé bindings by Marius Michel. Affiches étrangères is one of 25 copies with text printed on chine from a total edition of 1050. Les Affiches illustrées is an unnumbered deluxe copy, also with text printed on chine. The works include examples of color lithographed posters by European, American and Japanese artists, with special weight given to the work of Jules Cheret.
Two volumes, large quarto (314 x 218mm. Affiches illustrées, illustration: 60 of 64 lithographs of posters in two states (printed in blue or black before letters on chine; final state in full color on japon); 12 additional plates of murals by Jules Cheret in two states. Affiches etrangeres, illustration: 68 lithographs in 2 states (before letters & final state in full color), 21 black-and-white lithographs, numerous black-and-white reproductions in text.
Uniformly bound in full olive morocco by Marius Michel, upper boards beveled and inlaid with polychrome cuir ciselé panels both depicting women looking at posters, turn-ins gilt, second volume with inlay decorations and corner-pieces to turn-ins, silk brocade doublures & linings, marbled flyleaves, spines in six compartments each with raised bands, lettered in blind in one compartment; original wrappers in two states bound in; stamp-signed by Marius Michel on upper doublures; velvet-lined slipcases.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
