En bronze ciselé et doré, le cadran en verre inscrit à l'or et signé 'GALLONDE. INVENIT ET FECIT PARISIIS' inscrit dans un globe en verre à section rectangulaire supporté par une console composée d'agrafes feuillagées, elle-même soutenue par quatre dauphins adossés, la base composée d'agrafes, volutes et velum, le mouvement signé Gallonde invenit et fecit Parisiis / 1747, avec une manivelle à la poignée en ivoire d'éléphant teinté rouge, poinçonné au C couronné sur la base à l'arrière ; à l'origine sur une base aujourd'hui manquante, des remplacements aux panneaux de verre
