Édition originale. Exemplaire imprimé sur peau de vélin, vraisemblablement le seul connu. Le dernier feuillet de texte, qui comprend un résumé en prose des poèmes, est relié en début de volume.
Bartolus Lucanus a composé ce texte à la demande des citoyens du Frioul, pour reconnaître officiellement le nouveau pape, Innocent VIII, élu au trône de saint Pierre le 12 septembre 1484.
Lucanus souligne la richesse des connaissances héritées de l’Antiquité et l'importance de l'étude des textes anciens. Pour illustrer son propos, il dresse un catalogue des découvertes et inventions anciennes, en commençant par les armes de guerre, en passant par les produits commerciaux tels que le lin et la laine espagnols. Il décrit la fabrication de la soie à partir des vers à soie, l'invention de l'écriture et diverses découvertes en médecine, science, philosophie et littérature.

In-4 (232 x 152 mm) de 16 feuillets, et un feuillet blanc final. Le dernier feuillet de texte est relié en début de volume. Reliure moderne en veau incorporant les plats de veau estampé à froid de la reliure d’origine. Le dernier feuillet blanc pourrait d’ailleurs provenir de la reliure originelle.

First edition. Seemingly the only recorded copy printed on vellum ; of this celebration of Pope Innocent VIII’s election. Lucanus emphasizes the wealth of knowledge inherited from ancient civilization and the importance of studying relics and ancient texts. To illustrate his point, he compiles a catalogue of ancient discoveries and inventions, starting with weapons of war, and proceeding to commercial products such as Spanish linen and wool. He describes the making of silk from silkworms, the invention of writing, and discoveries in medicine, science, philosophy, and literature.

First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
