Notizblatt, darauf von Benedek eigenhändig in Tintenschrift geschrieben "Bin nicht Baron! Graz am 9ten August 1875 / Benedek Fzm". Dazu ein eigenhändig von Benedek adressiertes Kuvert an den Hauptmann von Vivenot. Weiterhin ein Brief der Gattin Julie von Benedek an von Vivenot. Außerdem zwei Brieffragmente und Umschläge, dabei die Frage Benedeks, ob er den Sohn des Mediziners Vivenot als Hauptmann in sein Regiment nehmen soll, dazu zwei Briefe der Gattin Julie von Benedek. In neuen Mappen mit ausführlichen Informationen zu den Schriftstücken. Teilweise beschädigt, Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren.
Benedek war ein bedeutender österreichischer Feldzeugmeister ungarischer Nationalität. Er kommandierte die kaiserliche Armee im Jahr 1866 in der Schlacht bei Königgrätz gegen die preußische Armee.

Watercolour on paper, unsigned. Von Benedek is shown standing, wearing the uniform of a k.k. Feldzeugmeister in full regalia, his overcoat draped over his shoulders (size of the picture 21 x 17 cm), presented below a fine bevel cut mount. A long, folding, labelled photograph (measuring 10 x 53 cm) with Austrian officers (e.g. Baron Gablenz, Graf Neipperg, Baron Salis-Soglio). Two autographs of General Gablenz with a small portrait photograph by L. Angerer. Comes with a large-format photograph (measuring 20 x 23 cm, E. Völkel, Neisse) "Königl. Hoheit Kronprinz von Preussen und General-Stab der II. Armee". Long photograph (measuring 7 x 38 cm), with an old inscription on the back: "Haupt-Quartier des Generals von Wrangel im Feldzug in Schleswig 1864". Oval group photograph (measuring 18 x 14 cm) of Prussian soldiers, the old inscription on the back reads: "Großvater Hugo Behrens im Kriege 1866". Oval group photograph (measuring 14.5 x 19 cm) of Prussian infantry (shoulder boards with no. 50). Coloured oval uniform portrait (measuring 12 x 9 cm), with an old inscription on the back (tr.): "Commemorating the Battle of Königgrätz … Garde Grenadier …". Group photograph with five bandsmen, the old inscription on the back reads (tr.): "Commemorating the war of 1866 … Carl Michaelis hautboist in the 2nd Upper Silesian Infantry Regiment No. 23". Large group photograph (measuring 38 x 29 cm) "Königl: Hannov: Garde Regiment". Portrait photograph (measuring 9.3 x 5.7 cm, L. Angerer, Vienna) of a k.k. Oberstlieutenant, circa 1866. Portrait photograph (measuring 8.8 x 5.2 cm, C. Schwartz, Berlin) of k.k. Oberstlieutenant der Artillerie Leitner, circa 1866. Photograph (measuring 12 x 24 cm) from the prison camp in Eastern Pomerania, 1866. Plus two prints (dimensions approx. 15 x 25 cm) of encounters from 1864 to 1866. Moreover, a field post letter to Reinhold Schatz in the military hospital in Trautenau/Bohemia in 1866 and three other field post letters of the period, along with a portrait photo, certificate of conduct and national issued to NCO Schommer of the Rheinisches Train-Bataillon No. 8, circa 1866. Damaged in places, signs of age. Rare collection of authentic material.
