Kräftige Rückenklinge aus wildem Damast mit langer, zweischneidiger Spitze. Im oberen Drittel geätzter, teilvergoldeter Dekor, beidseitig goldplattierte Signaturkartusche "Wilhelm Clauberg - in Solingen". Teilvergoldetes eisernes Gefäß mit geätztem und graviertem jagdlichen Dekor. Auf dem Griff die Darstellung berittener Jäger bei der Hirschhatz. Hölzerne Scheide mit fein geperltem Rochenhautbezug. Teilvergoldete eiserne Montierung mit geätztem und graviertem Dekor. Eingeschobenes Beimesser, seitlich zwei Tragespangen. Länge 51,5 cm.
A deluxe hunting-hanger with Damascus blade, Wilhelm Clauberg, Solingen, circa 1850
Sturdy single-edged blade of wild Damascus with long double-edged point. The upper third with etched, partly gilt décor, on both sides gold-plated signature cartouche "Wilhelm Clauberg - in Solingen". Partly gilt iron hilt with etched and engraved hunting décor. On the grip depiction of horse-mounted huntsmen chasing deer. Wooden scabbard with finely pearled ray skin cover. Partly gilt iron mounting etched and engraved with decorative ornaments. Inserted by-knife, two suspension bars on the sides. Length 51.5 cm.
