In the above book he included extensive case reports of 65 patients under his care, with details of operative procedures" (Garrison/Morton zum Textband). - "Macewen's greatest achievement is probably his foundation of neurological surgery... In 1893 he published his great work... an incredible record of ten years' achievement" (Heirs of Hippocrates). - First edition, very rare. With 60 illustrations in the text and on plates. Original cloth. With: Atlas of head sections. Later cloth. With: Die infectiös-eitrigen Erkranken des Gehirns... With numerous illustrations in the text and on plates. Half cloth.
