Second edition of this richly illustrated military treatise which first appeared in 1564, by the engineer, jurist and poet, Girolamo Maggi richly illustrated with views and plans of cities and ports with their fortifications.

3 parts in one volume, folio (350 x 245mm). Title with printer's device, numerous woodcut illustrations of plants and views, many of which full-page, headpieces and woodcut initials (first leaves with some dampstaining on the outer margin that causes some damage to title, some marginal repairs to final leaves, some worming at the edges of the final leaves and wormholes on the central leaves).
