Exemplaire en reliure de l'époque de cette célèbre description des pays scandinaves. Il s’agit d’une traduction latine, abrégée par Cornelius Scribon Grapheus, de l’originale parue en 1555. Elle est très richement illustrée de gravures sur bois, représentant notamment des animaux et des monstres légendaires. On y trouve aussi ce qui serait les premières représentations de skieurs jamais imprimées. Sabin, 43833.

Reliure de l’époque attribuable à l’atelier de Jakob Holl (Allemagne, plaque datée de 1545 [EBDB r003471]) en peau de truie estampée à froid, traces de fermoirs, dos à trois nerfs, titre manuscrit à l’encre noire sur le dos (trous comblés, gardes renouvelées, trois griffures au plat supérieur, quelques restaurations ; piqûres et taches éparses, restauration en marge inférieure de la page de titre, petits manques en marge inférieure des feuillets K3, Y2 et Y4). The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
