Marmorkopf zum Einsetzen in eine Statue. Die Vorderseite als Schauseite sorgfältiger und feiner ausgearbeitet als die nur nachlässig behandelte Rückseite. Locken der Vorderseite und der Schläfen, Gesichtszüge und Ohren vollständig bis zu Ende gearbeitet und fein modelliert. Der vordere Teil der Nase abgeschlagen. Geringfügige Bestoßungen und leichte Verwitterungserscheinungen, vor allem an den Seiten und hinten. Dazu ein Sockel aus schwarzem Stein. Höhe ohne Sockel 43 cm, mit Sockel 50 cm. Gewicht mit Sockel 17 kg.

A marble head to be used as part of a statue. The front of the head more carefully and intricately carved than the rather roughly worked rear. The curls on the front and at the temples, the facial features and ears fully complete and finely modelled. The front section of the nose has been broken off. Minor knocks and slight traces of surface weathering, particularly on the sides and at the back. Comes with a pedestal of black stone. Height without pedestal 43 cm, with pedestal 50 cm. Weight including pedestal 17 kg.
