An important publication on the fortifications of the province of Milan. The edition differs from that with the printing date 1707: it is not dedicated to Prince Eugene of Savoy on the title and it does not contain the printed dedication (the collation starts from B after the title), the map of the Castle is also different compared to that of the first edition.

4to (265 x 210mm). Title with engraved vignette, text within woodcut border, initials, tailpieces and 24 engraved plates, two of which folded depicting a geographical map of the territory and a plan of the castle of Milan (that corresponds to the one digitized in SBN for the 1733 edition); there is also a map of the city of Mantua inserted which is not normally found in the text (light soiling and occasional browning, maps and plates on modern guards, minimal and occasional staining, traces of glue in the inner margin of the first leaves). Recent binding backed in vellum.
