About Mischa Kuball:
Mischa Kuball (*1959 in Düsseldorf) is an internationally renowned conceptual artist. He has been working in public and institutional spaces since 1977, using the medium of light to explore architectural spaces and their social and political implications. He reflects on various facets, from cultural social structures to architectural interventions, in order to emphasize or recode the respective architectural-historical context. Politically motivated and participatory projects focus on the interweaving of public and private space and create a platform for communication between the participants, the artist, the work and the urban space. His works have been exhibited nationally and internationally for decades. Mischa Kuball has been Professor of Public Art at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne since 2007. Before that, he was Professor of Media Art at the Academy of Art and Design / ZKM, Karlsruhe. He has been a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and the Arts, Düsseldorf, since 2015. In 2016, he was awarded the Deutscher Lichtkunstpreis.
The lots of the charity auction will be handed over to the buyers during a festive evening on Saturday, August 24, 2024 on the stage of the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, partly by the artists themselves.
If you are unable to attend the personal handover of your auctioned artwork in the Tonhalle in Düsseldorf on August 24, 2024 from 6:00 p.m., collection is planned from August 26, 2024.
