so-called "Turks jug". Flaring sides, plane at body, narrow neck with profiled mouth rim merging. Figurative, relief plastic spout with a dragon head and scrolled handle. High domed lid with pine knob. On the wall, and the lid green and iron red rice, bundles of straw, surrounded by pomegranates, flowering peonies and chrysanthemums, tendrils and scattered flowers in polychrome, Gold gehöhter painting. Gold staffage. The minimum mark rubbed; sword. H. 21 cm.Johann Gregorius Hoeroldt developed at the Request of Augustus the Strong color palette, with which it was possible, with great care, among other things, Japanese porcelains from Arita in the so-called kakiemon style to imitate.Cf.
