On the naturalistically carved rocky surface of the large, muscular figure of a
Germanic warrior with winged helmet and chain kilt, a Celtic-ships-like
The model above his head bearing. The ship itself, with a large figure of the goddess Nike on
the rear and the front of a mermaid as the figurehead. On the tail the coat of arms of the city
Cologne, executed in coloured enamel. On the large billowing sail, two fine
Engravings coat of arms under helmet. About 13000g. Height 148cm, length approx. 81cm.

On the rear end of imagination marks for J. D. Schleissner & Söhne (Scheffler, Hessen, Nr. 474-477) marked:. Condition A/B.
