Gelb- und Weißgold 750/-, gestempelt. Wiener Feingehaltspunzen ab 1922. 61 Brillanten, zusammen ca. 1,20 ct, gute Qualität. Je 1 kleiner Rubin, Smaragd und Citrin im Brillantschliff. Geschnittener Onyx. Ca. 7 x 3,5 cm. Ca. 40,80 g. Bei Darstellungen von ''Mohrenköpfen'' in der Goldschmiedekunst denkt man zunächst an den berühmten, um 1595/1600 geschaffenen Pokal von Christoph Jamnitzer (1563-1618). Erst seit der Kolonialzeit kamen ''Mohren'' aus Afrika und Amerika auch als Sklaven an die europäischen Höfe. Im 18. Jahrhundert erfreute sich die Darstellung von Mohren großer Beliebtheit und fand auch Eingang in die Schmuckgestaltung. Die venezianische Juwelierfamilie Nardi fertigte in den 1920er Jahren die erste Moretto-Brosche an, die ursprünglich durch Shakespeares ''Othello, der Mohr von Venedig'' inspiriert wurde und als Reminiszenz an die Goldschmiedetechnik des 18. Jahrhunderts gilt. Der Moretto wird generell als Symbol der Liebe angesehen. SvP
