Presentation copy of the first edition in the very rare dust-jacket, inscribed by the author: ‘From Agatha Christie’. We are able to trace just one copy in the dust-jacket in auction records.
Octavo. 2 page publisher’s advertisements at end. Original orange cloth, spine lettered in black (a very little light spotting to preliminary and final leaves, head and foot of spine slightly sunned, minor spotting to edges); original pictorial dust-jacket priced 7s. 6d. (worn at head and foot of spine with some loss, small loss to ends of folds and to foot of lower panel, slightly chipped, lower panel with spotting and slight dust-staining, slight wear to extremities). Provenance: inscribed by the author in blue ink on preliminary free endpaper to an unknown recipient.
