Half-title, engraved frontispiece by Niquet after Vernet with a portrait of Napoleon on a horse, 5 engraved folding plates and a double-page panorama of the Battle of Marengo, a folding table ' Situation de l'armée de réserve, le 25 Prairial an 8" (foxing). Napoleon's arms binding decorated in gilt on covers, spine, inlays and edges, fuchsia endpapers (some wear to joins, extremities rubbed, corners bumped). There are several issues of the work with different frontispieces and some also contiain an additional portrait of Napoleon, but the copies are considered complete also without it.
