NICCOLÓ DI GIOVANNI DEL BRIGLIAIO ('Also Niccoló Betti') 1571 first mention Florence - c. 1617 Pisa/Florence HOLY FAMILY WITH VIRGIN, CHILD AND THREE SAINTS Oil tempera on poplar wood panel. 57 x 44,5 cm (F. 78 x 65 cm). Part. min. old rest. Beautiful, hand-carved Italian framing of the 17th century. Niccolò Betti (Niccolò di Giovanni del Brigliaio) lived and worked in Florence and Pisa between 1571 and 1617. In 1571 he is known in the workshop of Michele Tosini, gen. Michele di Ridolfo, in 1571. Around 1572 he painted the studiolo of Francesco I de' Medici and was particularly influenced by the school of Vasari. From 1576 to 1578 he worked on the cathedral of Pisa. His works can be found in the Uffizi Gallery and the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence as well as in the museums of Montepulciano and Volterra. Provenance: International collection.

Part. min. altrest. Schöne, handgeschnitzte italienische Rahmung des 17. Jh. Niccolò Betti (Niccolò di Giovanni del Brigliaio) lebte und arbeitete zwischen 1571 und 1617 in Florenz und Pisa. 1571 ist er in der Werkstatt von Michele Tosini, gen. Michele di Ridolfo, nachweisbar. Um 1572 bemalt er das Studiolo von Francesco I de' Medici und steht hierbei besonders unter dem Einfluß der Schule von Vasari. 1576 bis 1578 arbeitet er am Dom von Pisa. Seine Werke befinden sich neben den Uffizien und dem Palazzo Vecchio in Florenz auch im Museum von Montepulciano und in Volterra. Provenienz: Internationaler Sammlungsbesitz.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
