Fein gefertigtes Ordenskreuz aus 8 Karat Gold mit goldenen, am Rand emaillierten Medaillons, darauf das Napoleon-Profil und der kaiserliche Adler. Weiß emaillierte Kreuzarme (vereinzelt Haarrisse), grün emaillierter Kranz. Bewegliche Kronenagraffe mit beidseitigem Steinbesatz aus farbiger Emaille, Übergang zur Krone mit roter Emaille (Fehlstellen). Punze (undeutlich) am Bandring. Halstrageband aus gewässertem roten Seidenrips. Partiell leicht beschädigt, Trage- und Altersspuren. Breite des Kreuzes 59,5 mm, Gewicht ohne Band 45 g, Bandlänge 43 cm, Bandbreite 37 mm.
Order of the Legion of Honour - a Commander's Cross, 2nd Empire
Finely crafted order cross of 8 ct. gold with gold medallions enamelled at the edge, depicting Napoleon’s profile and the imperial eagle. Cross arms enamelled in white (isolated hairline cracks), wreath enamelled in green. Movable crown clasp set with stones of coloured enamel on both sides, the transition to the crown with red enamel (flaws). Mark (indistinct) on the suspension ring. Neck ribbon of watered red ribbed silk. Slightly damaged in places, traces of wear and age. With of cross 59.5 mm, weight without ribbon 45 g, length of ribbon 43 cm, width of ribbon 37 mm.
