Gegenstücke. Bronze, dunkel bzw. in graugrünen Tönen patiniert. Vollplastische, realistische, naturnahe Darstellungen zweier Mähnenlöwen mit geschlossenem bzw. geöffnetem Maul in der Tradition des 19. Jhs.; Große, querrechteckige Sockel mit vorkragender Fuß- und Deckplatte, die Seiten kanneliert. Löwen dienten bereits in der Antike in Europa als Herrschaftssymbol, dargestellt u. a. in einem der sog. Medici-Löwen. Diese Tradition des königlichen und königsnahen Symbols setzte sich über das Mittelalter bis heute besonders in Wappen, Reliefs und Skulpturen fort, u. a. im Braunschweiger Löwen aus dem 12. Jh., verstärkt in der Renaissance, im Barock und Klassizismus, als Löwen zur repräsentativen Ausstattung von Parks, Gärten, Schlössern, Landhäusern und Villen wurden. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
