Paar Ohrpflöcke aus Kupfer mit figürlicher Darstellung, Moche-Kultur, Peru, 1. - 8. Jahrhundert
Paar Ohrpflöcke aus getriebenem Kupferblech. Von Perlkreis umgebene Zierscheiben, dahinter 6,5 cm lange, zylindrische Pflöcke zum Einstecken. Auf der Vorderseite identische Darstellungen einer zwei Gegenstände haltenden Person in charakteristischer Tracht mit halbmondförmigem Kopfputz. Oberfläche mit grünen Oxyden und minimalen Inkrustationen überzogen. Durchmesser der Zierscheiben 9,3 cm.

Provenienz: Aus dem Nachlass eines norddeutschen Juristen. Erworben im Kunsthandel, seit den späten 1960er Jahren in Familienbesitz.

Pair of ear pegs made of chased copper sheet. Ornamental discs surrounded by a pearl circle, behind them 6.5 cm long cylindrical pegs for insertion. On the front identical depictions of a person holding two objects in characteristic costume with crescent-shaped headdress. Surface covered with green oxides and minimal incrustations. Diameter 9.3 cm.

Provenance: From the estate of a North German lawyer. Acquired on the art market, in the family since the late 1960s.
