Kräftige, beidseitig doppelt gekehlte Rückenklinge (gedunkelt, fleckig) mit zweischneidiger Spitze, am Klingenrücken die bekrönte preußische Abnahme "FW/56", quartseitig am Klingenansatz der Herstellerstempel "S & K" (Schnitzler & Kirschbaum, Solingen). Massives Messingbügelgefäß mit drei Terzspangen ("Katzenpfötchen") und ovalem Stichblatt, außen die bekrönte preußische Abnahme "FW/56" und der Truppenstempel "K.1.2.134.". Belederte Hilze mit Messingdrahtwicklung. Schwere Eisenscheide (stellenweise fleckig, kleine Dellen, Mundblechschraube fehlt) mit zwei beweglichen Trageringen, oben der Truppenstempel "K.4.3.41.". Faustriemen später ergänzt. Gebrauchs- und Altersspuren. Länge 116 cm. Französische Form des preußischen Kürassierpallaschs aus später Solinger Fertigung. Selten.

Sturdy, single-edged blade with double fullers on both sides (tarnished, stained) with a double-edged point. The crowned Prussian inspection mark "FW/56" on the back of the blade, the manufacturer's stamp "S & K" (Schnitzler & Kirschbaum, Solingen) at the root on the reverse. Solid brass knuckle-bow hilt with three obverse guard bars ("cat's paws") and an oval guard plate, the outside with the crowned Prussian inspection mark "FW/56" and the unit stamp "K.1.2.134." The leather-covered grip wrapped with brass wire. Heavy iron scabbard (stained here and there, minor dents, the locket screw is missing) with two movable suspension rings. The unit stamp "K.4.3.41." at the top. The thong a later replacement. Signs of age and handling. Length 116 cm. The French form of the Prussian cuirassier cavalry sword of late Solingen manufacture. A rare find.
