Originaler gelber, flacher Auszieher. Griffsicherung. Hülsenkopf mit American Eagle, am Vordergelenk DWM-Logo. Vollständige, mit an Sicherheit grenzender Wahrscheinlichkeit originale Brünierung. Bedienteile vollständig gelb angelassen. Kleinteile gebläut. Nummerngleiche dunkle Nussholzgriffschalen mit feiner Fischhaut, links mit Sichtfenster, skaliert 1 - 7. Vernickeltes Falzmagazin mit Holzboden und beiden Metallplättchen ohne Nummer. Lieferung über 50 Stück im Nummernbereich 22401 - 22450 für den U.S.-Test in 1904 in Fort Riley, Kansas. Neue Erhaltung. Cal. 9mmLuger, SN. 22408, matching numbers, the firing pin and safety unnumbered. Length of "fat barrel" 100 mm, bright bore. Eight shots. No modern proof marks. V-notch rear sights. Original flat extractor, straw coloured. Grip safety. The chamber area with American Eagle, the front toggle link with DWM logo. The excellent finish > 99% and almost certainly original. Small parts straw coloured or niter blued. Dark walnut grips with matching numbers and fine checkering, the left one with the "cartridge counter" window, numbered from 1 to 7. Nickel-plated magazine with wooden base, unnumbered, with both lateral metal discs.
This extremely sought-after Luger pistol is one of 50 from the serial number range 22401 to 22450, supplied to the US Army for the 1904 trials in Fort Riley, Kansas. As new! See amongst others Kenyon, "Lugers at Random", pages 76 to 77, and Still, "Central Powers Pistols", pages 416 to 418.
