Carte postale autographe à Louis Aragon, signée "Ton Picasso", au dos d'une photographie de la sculpture l'Homme au mouton de Picasso. Créée à la hâte en février 1943, la sculpture est modelée en plâtre avec l'aide de Paul Éluard dans l'atelier des Grands-Augustins. Selon l'artiste, c'est cette rapidité d'exécution qui explique la disproportion des volumes et l'aspect presque inachevé des jambes, contrastant avec un visage plus classique. En 1949, un an après avoir déménagé en Provence, Picasso offrit un exemplaire de cette sculpture à la ville de Vallauris, en signe de gratitude pour l'accueil reçu. Il le présente ici à Aragon, conservé dans la chapelle du château en attendant son inauguration le 6 août 1950 sur la place du marché. Au cours de cette cérémonie, Picasso recevra le titre de citoyen d'honneur de Vallauris, où il vivra jusqu'en 1955, entouré de son épouse Françoise Gilot et de leurs deux enfants. La ville sera alors au centre d'un large cercle artistique et littéraire, les "années Vallauris" correspondant à une période de bonheur familial et de production artistique féconde pour Picasso. L'artiste évoque le premier anniversaire de sa fille Paloma, coïncidant avec la date d'écriture de la lettre.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
