(1865 Genf - 1932 Rom) Porträt eines Mädchens Feinfühlig charakterisierendes, realistisches, in duftig hellem, zartem Kolorit und mit weichem Schmelz gemaltes Kinderbildnis. Olga Bariatinsky, die vor allem als gefragte Porträtmalerin in Rom tätig war, stammte aus einer bedeutenden russischen Fürstenfamilie - sie war die Tochter von Fürst Viktor Ivanovich Bariatinsky (1823 - 1904), einem Freund von Ivan Aivazovsky. 1893 nahm sie mit dem Gemälde "Portrait of Prince Bariatinsky" (höchstwahrscheinlich ein Porträt ihres Vaters) an der Weltausstellung in Chicago teil; im Frühjahr 1917 beschickte sie die "Ausstellung russischer Künstler und Kunstliebhaber in Rom". Werke der Malerin befinden sich u. a. im Palazzo Braschi im Museum der Stadt Rom (Bildnis des Sammlers Graf G. S. Stroganov, 1902). Öl/Leinwand; Rechts unten monogrammiert und datiert 1896 mit Ortsangabe "Rome". Überdies verso auf dem Keilrahmen kyrillische Inschrift mit Angaben zum Modell, dat. 1896. 38 cm x 28,5 cm. Rahmen. Oil on canvas. Monogrammed and dated 1896 with location "Rome". Further inscribed in Cryrillic with information about the sitter, dated 1896.
